Computer and Internet Security

If your computer starts behaving weirdly, you are experiencing spyware symptoms or there are unrecognized software in your computer that you did not install, it is time to be alarmed as all these are indications of malware and internet security breaches. Here are some tips to detect malicious software:

Pop-up advertisements

If you see unwanted pop-up advertisements frequently on websites you visit, then this is an indication for malware. These pop-ups are generally very distracting and compel you to click on it by making false statements like “Increase your computer performance”, “Win cash price”, etc.

Sluggish Computer

Computers tend to go slow over time, but if you notice that your computer was performing fine a day before, but suddenly the next day, it’s extremely sluggish. It takes too long to launch applications and turn on the computer. This is again alarming, as malware may be in your computer that is causing this sluggishness.

Change in Settings

If you find that, there are changes in the setting and you can’t get it back to the way it was, this is a clear indication of malware. Unwanted malicious applications can change your computer settings, homepage, search page settings, etc. Even if you change it back, you’ll notice that these changes revert as you restart your computer.
